The Single Tax office was created to administer the tax laws of Lackawanna County, the City of Scranton and the Scranton School District and to provide one single location to pay these various taxes. The Collector of Taxes, Cathy Nealon Wechsler, supervises a staff of approximately 20, who strive to assess and collect all taxes in a fair and equitable manner.
